How is air quality measured on ClearSpot?

ClearSpot sources air quality data primarily from the Open-Meteo Air Quality API and WAQI (World Air Quality Index), both of which aggregate readings from national government monitoring stations. For each city, we compute a monthly average across PM2.5, PM10, NO2, ozone, and carbon monoxide, then normalise against WHO 2021 guidelines to produce a 0-100% pressure score. A score of 100% means no measured pollutant exceeded WHO thresholds during the reference period. A score of 0% means persistent exceedance across multiple pollutants.
