This notice describes how ClearSpot processes information when you use the website and related services. It reflects common GDPR expectations and our actual product behaviour; it is not legal advice.
Who we are
ClearSpot is an editorial website with automated environmental data overlays. For data-protection questions, email contact@clearspot.me or use any contact route we publish on the site.
Categories of data
If you create an account, we store the profile and authentication details you provide. When you browse or call our APIs, servers receive technical data such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, and requested URLs. If you opt in, we store consent choices for analytics and advertising. Optional client error reports may include a short message and context. Back-office crawl logs are restricted to operators and are not used to build advertising profiles about visitors.
Cookies and similar technologies
Essential cookies keep your session, locale preference, and security controls working. Google Analytics 4 and advertising scripts (for example Google AdSense) run only after you consent. You can change non-essential choices later using the consent tools we surface in the interface.
Location
Maps can centre on coordinates you enter or on browser geolocation when you explicitly allow it. Those coordinates are sent to our infrastructure only to render overlays and related features. Geolocation is optional, controlled by the browser, and not sold to third parties for unrelated tracking.
Retention
We keep server and consent logs for as long as needed for security, abuse prevention, and legal compliance, then delete or aggregate them. Account data remains until you delete the account or ask for erasure, subject to narrow exceptions such as unresolved payment or abuse investigations.
Your rights
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing. You may withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time. Email contact@clearspot.me for privacy requests; we respond within one month unless the law allows an extension.
